We have all heard the horror stories of what could happen when a Will falls into the wrong hands, that is why it is essential that your Will remains safe and that only your chosen Executors know exactly where your Will is located. We offer a storage service that ensures your Will will remain safe and available for your Executors to access on your death. As a result, the document’s content will also remain confidential until the time of death occurs.
Why should I use a storage facility?
- The Will cannot be lost, damaged or accidentally destroyed.
- A disappointed Beneficiary cannot destroy the Will as they will not have access to it as they may at home.
- In placing the Will into storage, the documents will be checked to ensure they are signed correctly.
- Documents are scanned, and the electronic copies will be used in an application to Probate if required.
- Only your Executors will be allowed to withdraw the Will from storage after your death.
- Your Executors will be aware that we store your Will and how they can retrieve this after your death.
Where exactly will my documents be stored?
The documents of all our clients are securely stored in a fireproof cabinet in a locked facility. As an added precaution, all signed documents are scanned in advance and stored in our Electronic Filing System, which is hosted on a secure server.
What if I want my documents out of storage?
Should you require your documents out of storage for any reason at a later date, then you will need to make this request to us in writing stating your full name, date of birth, address and providing ID.
