Executor Support

Losing a loved one is never an easy thing to go through, and then there is the added pressure if you have been named as executor in the Will.

At The Will Guys, we are here to lend a helping hand. With our team of experts, we can lead you through the process of being the executor, from letting you know about your responsibilities as executor to explaining the probate process and whether it is needed. We can help organise the estate, so that making all the calls to the various companies and government bodies seems less daunting, and we can give you the benefit of our experience in this area. We can help you understand the Will and give you guidance for the next steps to ensure the instructions in the Will are followed.

The appointment can be face to face or over video call, where we can give you lots of initial information bespoke to your circumstances and help put you on the right track to get the administration of the estate going.

If you need any extra help after this, we can arrange this for you.

About Ella

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am one of the estate planners within The Wills Guys. After a long and successful career as a teacher, I found myself in the world of Will writing. Given my lifelong passion for learning, I was very keen to ensure that, through the correct qualifications, I had a very high standard of understanding of the law surrounding Wills, probate, trusts and the associated taxes. I completed a course with the society of Will writers, and although it was a very good base to launch my career, it proved to me how much there was to learn.

To offer the best advice for all my clients, I needed to do the best qualification. You cannot get higher than a STEP diploma. I enrolled in the course in 2020, and began the 2.5 years it takes to complete the vigorous 5 courses to then be qualified as a TEP ( Trust And Estate Planner). STEP is a worldwide standard for Will writing. I was honoured in 2023 to be accepted as a full member of STEP and was given the TEP accreditation following the successful completion of the diploma.

I am now beginning to use my knowledge to not only provide a world class service for the clients and businesses that we work with, but I have also found myself picking up my teaching skills again to help our dedicated team of Will writers develop their own knowledge through courses and individual support.

As with all areas of law, there is always more to learn, and keep ahead of changes and updates. This is a lifelong journey of learning for me and will make sure that all advice that I give is accurate, bespoke and relevant.
